Understanding users challenges or needs as a designer is a crucial, but challenging task. Interviews and other in-person inquiries can be enhanced by using physical objects by supporting the user in communicating their needs in a clear way.

Approach: Timelines and scales are found to be good at getting a overview of the content in relation to each other.
Using this is as a basis for designing physical artifacts that can support the user research phase.

Results: A two-sided foam core board, glued with printed graphics. Alongside +30 4x7cm 'bricks' representing content on the board
